Agile Ways of Working

Agile Ways of Working place emphasis on iteration. Cross-functional teams work across lines creating solutions, offering feedback, and solving problems in an efficient and collaborative fashion.

Where traditional waterfall methods define the scope and then assign resources to it, Agile defines the resources and time that will define and drive scope. By breaking the process down into smaller pieces, or sprints, the core project deliverable remains fluid. Teams have the ability to make regular adjustments to scope.

Clearpath uses a sprint approach on all of our projects to keep things moving for our clients in a remarkably productive way. We use Agile methodology, specifically, to arrive at those performance-based solutions not readily apparent. By embracing change and new behaviors we encourage innovation and pronounced shifts in momentum.

Design Thinking

Design Thinking is a non-linear, iterative process that systematically solves problems with creative means. The focus is on authentic understanding of users, breaking down assumptions, and reframing business problems to arrive at innovative solutions.

Great importance is placed on understanding the needs of your people from their perspectives and in delivering solutions via human-centric means. In a space such as ours that is all about people, empathetic design is key.

Clearpath uses Design Thinking regularly, often pairing it with additional methodologies to harness and boost ingenuity. It’s not just about finding a solution. It’s more often about creating one.

Change Effectiveness Theories and Methods

Change Effectiveness is a process to help leaders prepare for change and the impact it will have on company performance. As a methodology, it provides a framework that outlines a practical set of actions to define a vision, develop communication, allocate resources, provide training, implement strategy, and manage and lead change programs.

There are many approaches to the methodology. Clearpath primarily applies and combines the principles of the Kubler-Ross Change Curve and ADKAR Models.

Some call the methodology Change Management. Since change is constant, we find it less an aspect of business to manage but rather an aspect to build processes around. By positioning our clients ahead of obstacles, they bypass hurdles. We design Change Effectiveness right into business systems so that inevitable and regular shifts are handled as part of ongoing good business flow.

Instructional Systems Design (ISD) refers to a systemic approach to analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating instructional experience.

Lean Methodology and Approach is a process that aims to reduce waste and improve efficiency in the interest of providing more value to customers.

lean-ISD refers to the creation of common, effective, and efficient systems for ISD processes that adhere to the lean conceptual model.

Clearpath is rooted in lean-ISD methodology and looks for every opportunity to remove unnecessary processes and information. In so doing we lessen the learner’s burden and create space for added value.

Criterion-Referenced Instruction (Robert Mager)

Criterion-Referenced Instruction (CRI) is an approach to instructional design that addresses the way learning is designed and implemented. The focus is on establishing a task/goal analysis to determine what the learner already understands so that resources are not spent unnecessarily. Performance objectives map the desired outcomes and establish how they will be evaluated. Testing determines when a learner has successfully achieved competency, requiring aptitude only to the level required for job performance.

Clearpath uses CRI to avoid guesswork. The methodology helps us to avoid redundancy while ensuring that objectives are verifiable. This allows us to better engage the learner, provide bandwidth in learner journeys for practice and feedback, and even provide people with a choice in terms of a learning pace and sequence that works for them.

Despite their differences, the goal of both Western and Eastern medicine is to keep people healthy. The unifying principle of health is the body’s ability to maintain balance. Both modalities are built on very different fundamental approaches to this end. However, Western and Eastern healthcare professionals are beginning to embrace the benefits of combining principles and procedures.
